Quantity Surveyor - Retail/Fit-Out & Refurbishment Location: Preston/UK Salary: 60k - 70k + bens Sector: Commercial Fit-Out, Refurbishment, Retail, Hospitality & Leisure The Business The company undertakes projects across a broad range of markets, including retail, hospitality, hotels, leisure, offices, automotive, high-street premises, restaurants, and specialist joinery . The Opportunity As a result of continued expansion and an increasing pipeline of secured work, the business is now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial function. The position would suit a commercially minded QS who enjoys the variety and pace of the fit-out sector and is comfortable taking responsibility for the financial management of projects from initial tender and procurement through to completion and final account . You will work as a key member of the project team, partnering with operational colleagues to maintain strong cost control, maximise margins and ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed commercial objectives. Your Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Taking ownership of the commercial management of several concurrent fit-out and refurbishment schemes. Producing and maintaining budgets, cost plans and financial projections. Managing the selection and procurement of subcontractors and material suppliers. Preparing tender enquiries, assessing returns and negotiating commercial terms. Managing subcontractor accounts, including applications, valuations and payment processes. Controlling variations, additional works and changes throughout the project lifecycle. Tracking expenditure, profitability and overall project performance. Producing regular
