Building Surveyor Location - Warrington Salary - 37,000 - 50,000 About the Company Our client is an established property organisation responsible for the management, maintenance and improvement of a substantial residential property portfolio. As part of its continued investment in its housing stock, the organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Building Surveyor to support planned maintenance, major repairs and property improvement programmes. The Role As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for planning and delivering maintenance and improvement programmes across a residential property portfolio. Working from home and covering a designated patch, you will undertake property inspections, develop specifications and schedules of work, manage contractors and ensure projects are delivered to the required standard. The role will cover planned and cyclical works, corrective repairs and stock condition surveying, providing a varied opportunity for a surveyor with strong residential building knowledge and experience delivering works from inception through to completion. Key Responsibilities Planning and delivering planned and cyclical maintenance programmes Managing works and projects from inception through to completion Preparing specifications and schedules of work for planned improvements and corrective works Carrying out inspections and identifying defects and maintenance requirements Undertaking stock condition surveys and using survey data to inform future maintenance programmes Managing and monitoring contractors to ensure works are delivered to a high standard Establishing and maintaining effective contractor relationships Monitoring the progress and quality of works Carrying out inspections and post-inspections as required Providing technical advice on building maintenance and construction matters Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with CDM regulations and relevant health and safety requirements
