Stock Generation volunteer

Stock donations are at the heart of our shops, and this role is all about helping us find more of them. You’ll connect with people and organisations in the local community and encourage them to give unwanted items a new purpose. You can expect us to Make you feel welcome, included and respected in line with our values and behaviours Support you in having a positive and impactful experience at Cats Protection Cover agreed out-of-pocket expenses in line with our Expenses Policy Provide you with access to learning, development and engagement opportunities A bit more information about this role and the team Our brand-new Skipton store is due to open on the 26 November , so we’ll be looking for our new volunteers to start then. To welcome our new volunteers and get you up to speed, we’re aiming to hold a volunteer induction session(s) during the week commencing 16 November. What we need from you Promoting current donation campaigns and encouraging customers to donate Distributing donation bags and information within the local community Helping organise and coordinate collections of donated stock Building relationships with local businesses, hotels and other organisations that may have items to donate Identifying opportunities for donations when local organisations are refurbishing, relocating or clearing stock Supporting community donation drives and special stock-generation events Helping spread the word about what we need and how people can donate Collaborating with the shop team to identify the types of stock most needed locally Time expectation Our Stock Generation Volunteers usually spend around four hours per day in this role.
