Job Description

A specialist London cost consultancy is looking to appoint an MEP Quantity Surveyor to support a growing building services workload. The successful MEP Quantity Surveyor will work across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments throughout London. The MEP Quantity Surveyor will be involved from early design and cost planning through procurement, construction and final account. Working alongside clients, designers and contractors, the MEP Quantity Surveyor will provide detailed commercial advice across mechanical, electrical and public health packages. This role would suit an MEP Quantity Surveyor with UK consultancy experience who wants greater responsibility on technically interesting projects. The MEP Quantity Surveyor will gain direct client exposure, develop their sector knowledge and progress towards more senior responsibility. MEP Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities: Preparing MEP cost plans, estimates and budgets Producing tender documentation for mechanical and electrical packages Reviewing contractor and subcontractor returns Supporting procurement strategy and tender analysis Managing valuations, variations and change control Preparing commercial reports and cost forecasts Assisting with final account negotiations Monitoring design development and identifying cost implications Attending client, design team and contractor meetings MEP Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Building Services or a related construction discipline Previous UK consultancy / PQS experience Experience managing mechanical and electrical cost packages Good understanding of MEP systems and associated cost drivers Experience across residential, commercial or mixed-use developments would be advantageous MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership Knowledge of JCT contracts and UK procurement routes Strong numerical, repor
