Receptionist Description Could you be an enthusiastic and dedicated receptionist? Join the professional services team at the University of Plymouth's Faculty of Health, responsible for supporting students throughout the student journey. About the role: As our receptionist you will: be responsible for greeting visitors and providing assistance in person, over the phone, and via email. efficiently manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including sorting emails and promptly responding to inquiries. handle scheduling appointments and meetings. assist with data entry and record keeping when needed will contribute to the seamless functioning of our office. support the administrative team by tackling ad-hoc tasks and projects with enthusiasm and effciency. We are looking for candidates with: previous experience in a recptionist or administrative assistant role, although this is not mandatory. excellent communication skills paired with a friendly and professional demeanor are essential to the success in this position. strong organisational abilities, coupled with the capacity to multitask and prioritise effectively are key. proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook are required. flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment will be key attributes for this role. you should be comfortable working both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as a part of a team. Due to the nature of the role, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate working from home. This is a full time, fixed term contract, working 37 hours per week until 31/07/2027 as absence cover.
