Part Time Bookkeeper

Part-Time Bookkeeper Location: Derby, office-based Hours: Approx. 25 hours per week, with flexitime Salary: Circa £14.50 per hour, depending on experience Job Type: Part-time, Permanent The Role We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join a friendly and professional team based in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper who is confident managing bookkeeping and VAT requirements for multiple clients. You'll need to be organised, comfortable working to deadlines and able to build positive relationships with clients. Key Responsibilities as the new Part time Bookkeeper: Completing bookkeeping assignments for a varied portfolio of clients Preparing and submitting VAT returns accurately and within required deadlines Maintaining a VAT control system to ensure all information and returns are completed on time Ensuring compliance with relevant VAT regulations Managing workloads within agreed budgets and deadlines Using Sage Accounting Software to maintain accurate financial records Liaising directly with clients in a professional, friendly and helpful manner Working with clients both on and off-site when required Skills & Experience as the new Part time Bookkeeper: To be considered for this position, you should ideally have: A minimum of 2 years' bookkeeping experience At least 2 years' experience using Sage At least 2 years' experience preparing VAT returns Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills The ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively A proactive, approachable and helpful attitude Previous experience working with multiple clients AAT qualification or relevant practical experience Experience with Making Tax Digital (MTD) would be advantageous Benefits Pension scheme Life insurance cover Up to 25 days' holiday, pro rata Free on-site car parking Flexible working hours For more information or to apply, please contact Chloe If you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website.
