We are looking for a Janitor to join St Austin’s Catholic Primary School , part of St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi-Academy Trust . This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our dedicated school team and contribute to the smooth running, care and maintenance of our school environment. About the Role: As our Janitor, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. You will help ensure the smooth daily running of the school and contribute to the warm, caring atmosphere that makes our community special. This is a full-year position, 10 hours per week, working pattern as agreed with the Principal, with flexibility in working hours required and the potential of additional hours on occasions. Main Responsibilities: Carrying out daily cleaning duties in classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and communal areas Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required Ensuring the school is clean, safe, and secure at all times Opening and locking up the school premises Monitoring stock levels of cleaning materials and reporting when supplies are low Reporting any health and safety issues, hazards, or necessary repairs Assisting with setting up for school events, furniture moves, or deliveries We are looking for a Janitor who is: Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy Friendly and approachable, with a positive attitude Committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment Proactive and able to work independently A team player who supports the school community What We Can Offer: We provide a supportive and friendly working environment where you will be a valued member of our close-knit school community.
