Job Description

Starting in January, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated Teacher of Food and Nutrition to join our successful and supportive Design & Technology Department. This is a permanent position, offered at 0.6-1FTE, providing an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner to inspire students and contribute to the continued development of our Food and Nutrition curriculum. The successful candidate will be passionate about Food and Nutrition, committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, and able to engage students of all abilities across Key Stages 3 and 4. Experience of teaching Food Preparation and Nutrition at GCSE level would be advantageous. For the right candidate, there is the potential to take on the additional role of Food Lead, which attracts a TLR2a payment. This position is offered on the main teacher's pay scale MPS 1-6. We are looking for An outstanding teacher with excellent subject knowledge; A practitioner who is keen to enthuse students using a variety of approaches; Experience of teaching Food and Nutrition at GCSE is highly desirable; A willingness to contribute to the enrichment activities of the Department; Any other reasonable tasks at the discretion of the Head of Department/Deputy Principal Additional Tasks What you can expect from us: A comprehensive induction process, tailored to your role and previous experience.
