Could you help shape the future of bereavement support in Scotland?Cruse Scotland is looking for new Trustees to join our Board.When someone dies, life can change in an instant. At Cruse Scotland, we are here to make sure people don't have to face that experience alone.For 60 years plus, we have provided compassionate, personalised bereavement support to adults, children and young people across Scotland. As Scotland's only open-to-all bereavement charity, we have a unique role – and we're ambitious about what comes next.We are about to embark on a new three-year strategy and big plans for the future. We're looking for people who can bring expertise, fresh thinking and constructive challenge to help us turn those ambitions into reality.What could you bring?We're particularly interested in people with experience in one or more of these areas:AI awareness and governanceCharity financeChildren's counselling and GIRFECCommercial expertiseCounselling supervisionCulture and organisational developmentCyber and information securityFundraisingImmigration and asylumInsuranceLegalProperty and estate managementYou don't need previous trustee experience.We're looking for people who care about our purpose, bring sound judgement and are willing to share their knowledge, ask questions and help us make good decisions.This is an opportunity to use your experience for something that really matters – helping people navigate one of life's most difficult experiences.What you'll doOur Trustees provide strategic leadership, governance and constructive challenge, helping to ensure Cruse Scotland is well placed to deliver its ambitions now and in the future. Our current trustees can be viewed here XXXXThis is a voluntary, non-remunerated role.
