We re working with primary schools across Pembrokeshire and are looking for caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support pupils in a variety of settings.
And you don't necessarily need years of classroom experience to get started.

Your experience could already be classroom-readyThink you need previous experience as a Teaching Assistant?
Not necessarily.
The skills you've developed elsewhere could be incredibly valuable in a school.
You may have experience in:
- Childcare or nursery settings
- Youth work
- Sports and coaching
- Mentoring
- Residential or support work
- Volunteering
- Working with children or young people in other settings
What matters is your ability to build positive relationships, support others and create a safe, encouraging environment for pupils.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be more than an extra pair of hands in the classroom.
You'll have the opportunity to become an important part of a pupil's school experience helping them feel confident, included and ready to learn.
Depending on the school and role, you could be:
- Supporting pupils during classroom lessons
- Working 1:1 or with small groups
- Helping children understand and complete learning activities
- Encouraging pupils to stay focused and engaged
- Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
- Helping children build confidence and independence
- Providing pastoral and practical support
- Working alongside teachers and other school staff
- Helping create an inclusive and positive learning environment
No two days are necessarily the same.
