Experience of working positively with young people aged 14 to 25, including those who may be distressed, disengaged or displaying challenging behaviour A calm, confident and professional approach, with strong communication, de-escalation and conflict resolution skills An understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries and the risks that may affect young people The judgement to balance supportive youth work practice with clear, proportionate enforcement of college expectations The ability to remain observant, respond promptly to incidents and maintain accurate records Experience in youth work, education, community safety, security, policing, the armed forces or related setting
