Science Technicians (2 positions available) Contract: Permanent Hours: 32.5 hours, 39 weeks (term time plus one week) Working Pattern: 8am - 3pm or 9am - 4pm, Mon - Fri Salary: Pathway 2, £19,569 - £20,842 per annum (FTE £26,016 - £27,709) Site: Thomas Deacon Academy Closing date: 9am on Monday 19 th Oct Start date: ASAP Please note the trust may decide to withdraw the advert before the closing date or interview suitable candidates prior to the advert closing. Your role: As a Science Technician, you'll be the driving force behind exciting and engaging practical science lessons. You'll prepare experiments, equipment and materials, maintain laboratory resources, support staff and students, and help ensure our laboratories are safe, organised and ready for discovery every day. You'll thrive in this role if you're highly organised, enjoy solving problems, have a keen eye for detail and can manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with scientific equipment or in a laboratory setting would be advantageous, but most importantly, you'll bring energy, initiative and a genuine enthusiasm for science and education.
