SHEQ Advisor (Safety, Heath, Environment Quality) Location: Swadlincote, with regular UK travel within 1 2 Hours Contract: Initial 3 months, with potential for longer-term work Sector: Engineering / Infrastructure / Process Rate: £450/day Outside IR35 or £500/day Inside IR35 via Umbrella + expenses Travel: Mileage covered, accommodation where required The Role We are recruiting for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to support an established engineering and infrastructure business across its Process Division and wider operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable being out on site, providing practical SHEQ advice, supporting operational teams and confidently challenging and influencing stakeholders. The role will involve regular travel across operational sites which are all 1 2 hours from the main base hub in Swadlincote The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, managers, clients, contractors and supply chain partners to maintain high standards across Safety, Health, Environment and Quality. Key Responsibilities Carry out SHEQ audits, inspections and compliance reviews across operational and customer sites. Provide practical SHEQ advice and support to engineers and site teams. Support risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work and COSHH assessments. Investigate incidents, identify root causes and ensure corrective actions are completed. Produce clear SHEQ reports and monitor actions through to completion. Support and promote a positive safety culture across the business. Coach and advise managers, supervisors and operational teams on their SHEQ responsibilities. Support internal and external audits and client inspections. Work with the business to maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Monitor SHEQ performance data, identify trends and support continuous improvement.
