The Role As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role within the pre-construction team, producing accurate and competitive tenders for a wide range of Mechanical Building Services projects. Working alongside experienced estimators and senior management, you'll be involved throughout the tender process, from analysing drawings and specifications through to supplier engagement, pricing and tender submissions. This role offers genuine career progression, making it ideal for an estimator with a couple of years' experience looking to take the next step. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret tender documentation, drawings and specifications. Complete mechanical take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates. Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare detailed cost comparison schedules to support tender adjudications. Raise technical queries and Requests for Information (RFIs) throughout the tender period. Assist with design development where required to ensure compliant tender submissions. Produce value engineering options and alternative cost proposals. Present tender information to senior management during adjudication meetings.
