Quantity Surveyor £45,000 - £65,000 + Bonus & Site Travel Expenses Radlett, Hertfordshire Projects across the South East Why This Role Matters A growing contractor is looking to strengthen its commercial team as its order book develops. The business delivers £1m-£10m shell and core projects across the commercial, industrial and data sectors, taking schemes from groundworks through to handover for M&E installation. This is an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who wants ownership of their projects and enjoys working closely with the people delivering them on site. The Role - What You'll Be Doing Based from the Radlett office, with visits to sites across the South East, you'll manage the commercial side of projects from tender through to final account. Key responsibilities include: Procurement: tendering subcontract packages, reviewing quotes and negotiating orders Cost management: valuations, payment applications, variations and cost control Commercial reporting: CVRs, forecasting and regular project updates Contract administration: managing JCT contracts, particularly Design & Build, through to final account Project collaboration: working with site teams, subcontractors, clients and consultants to resolve commercial issues Risk management: reviewing drawings, specifications and site progress to identify changes and protect the project's position About the Contractor - Why Join Growing order book across commercial, industrial and data projects Shell and core work with project values typically between £1m and £10m Hands-on business where commercial and site teams work closely together Opportunity to take responsibility for projects from tender to final account Bonus scheme and expenses for travel to site What You Need A degree in Quantity Surveying or Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management At least 3-5 years' relevant QS experience, ideally with a main or specialist contractor Strong knowledge of JCT
