Quantity Surveyor - Civils Salary: Up to 65,000 (DOE) Location: Wakefield and surrounding locations Additional: Car allowance, health cover, pension scheme, 26 days holiday (plus BH) Linsco are delighted to be working alongside our client, a well-established regional main contractor with over 30 years' experience delivering projects across the building, civil engineering and structural steel sectors. Operating throughout Yorkshire, the Midlands and the North East, they have built a strong reputation for successfully delivering high-quality construction, infrastructure and public sector projects. With a strong annual turnover, a growing order book and several long-term local authority and infrastructure framework agreements in place, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Civils & Build division. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil engineering and infrastructure projects to join a growing business with a secure pipeline of work across local authority frameworks, highways improvements, public realm schemes, drainage and wider civil engineering projects. The Role Working closely with the Managing QS and wider commercial team, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects ranging from 1m - 15m across a variety of civil engineering and infrastructure schemes. Projects are likely to include highways improvements, Section 278 works, public realm developments, drainage and infrastructure works, local authority schemes and other framework-delivered projects. Duties will include: Managing the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Procuring and managing subcontract packages. Preparing, reviewing and negotiating subcontract agreements. Producing accurate cost reports, forecasts and cash flow projections. Preparing client applications for payment and managing valuations.
