Multi-Trade (Social Housing) A leading national property services and maintenance contractor is currently looking to recruit several experienced Multi-Trade Operatives to join an established and long-term social housing maintenance contract. Position: Multi-Trade Location: Wolverhampton or Sandwell Salary: 36,982 per annum + Van & fuel card + package Contract Type : Permanent Start date: Immediately available This is an excellent opportunity for experienced tradespeople with a strong plastering background who are looking to secure a permanent position with a well-established organisation. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out responsive repairs and general property maintenance across a large portfolio of occupied residential properties. The Role: As a Multi-Trade Operative, you will be responsible for attending residential properties to diagnose and complete a wide variety of responsive repairs. You will primarily utilise your plastering skills, while your ability to undertake additional trades such as plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance will allow you to deal with a broader range of repair requirements. Working within occupied homes, you will regularly interact with residents, making strong communication and customer service skills just as important as your technical ability. You will be expected to take ownership of jobs from initial diagnosis through to completion, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while minimising disruption to residents. The organisation uses modern digital job management systems, with operatives receiving and updating work instructions through PDA/mobile technology.
