Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team, managing the financial and contractual performance of a high-volume housing, property maintenance and refurbishment programme. The successful candidate will have strong experience working with JCT contracts and be comfortable managing a large number of live jobs simultaneously. The role will involve overseeing approximately 400 jobs per month, covering works including kitchen installations, bathroom refurbishments, roofing, planned maintenance and general property works. This is a fast-paced role requiring someone who is highly organised, commercially astute and confident working with large volumes of data, valuations, variations and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the commercial performance of a high volume of live projects and work orders, overseeing approximately 400 jobs per month and ensuring that works are commercially controlled from instruction through to completion. The role will involve preparing, assessing and agreeing interim and final valuations, reviewing contractor applications for payment and checking supporting documentation. The Quantity Surveyor will assess completed works against contract requirements, schedules of rates and agreed specifications, as well as identifying, assessing and agreeing variations and additional works where applicable. The successful candidate will monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and overall financial performance, identifying commercial risks and opportunities and providing regular reporting to senior management.
