Hours: 35 hours per week, term time plus 5 additional days Salary: Band 5 £29,542 - £32,578 pro rata (actual £24,112 - £26,590) Contract: Permanent The Cabin at William Leech is growing! As we move into a next phase of development, we are looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the growing team and provide bespoke support to children with SEMH/SLCN needs to help them thrive in a small and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a calm, talented and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant that is able to work closely with children who have a range of needs including speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. You will show initiative on a daily basis, as you support children to thrive and reach their full potential. The Cabin at William Leech provides a unique learning environment that has been refurbished to meet the needs of the children. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career in our specialist provision in the heart of Lynemouth, and support both the children who attend The Cabin and their families. Main Roles and Responsibilities: Establish calm, positive and nurturing relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to the needs of each individual child. Develop and implement Pupil Support Plans in line with the provision outlined in the pupil’s EHCP. Demonstrate responsive and reflective trauma informed practice on a daily basis to meet the social and emotional needs of pupils and their families. To actively promote highly inclusive practice within the class base to ensure acceptance of all children. Encourage children to play and interact with one another. Why Join Us?
