Job Description

A brilliant opportunity for a confident, polished and personable Corporate Receptionist. You’ll be joining a busy, entrepreneurial business operating across some of the UK’s most complex construction, engineering and infrastructure projects. With continued growth and ambitious plans for further expansion, the London office is looking for an exceptional Corporate Receptionist who can take ownership, keep things moving and genuinely become part of the fabric of the business. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, visitors and colleagues, creating a warm, professional and memorable experience from the moment someone walks through the door. You’ll manage the day-to-day running of a busy reception while also supporting the wider office. You’ll be responsible for: Welcoming clients, visitors and guests and ensuring an exceptional front-of-house experience. Managing incoming calls and directing enquiries efficiently. Coordinating meeting rooms, room allocations and diaries for internal and client meetings. Ensuring meeting rooms are beautifully presented and fully prepared. Organising catering, refreshments and hospitality for meetings and events. Managing reception and shared inboxes, triaging enquiries and responding promptly and professionally. Arranging taxis, couriers, transport and travel logistics for visitors and staff. Coordinating office events, celebrations, birthdays, retirements, gifting and social activities. Supporting housekeeping and maintaining consistently high standards across the office. Managing incoming and outgoing post, deliveries and courier services. Supporting wider Office Management responsibilities, including stationery, supplies and first aid administration. Managing and mentoring a junior receptionist, helping them develop and ensuring the reception function runs seamlessly. We’re looking for someone who is warm, polished and confident, but equally happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. You’ll be someone who naturally connects with people and brings energy and personality to the role. You’ll ideally have: Previous experience in a busy corporate reception, front-of-house, hospitality or office environment. Experience managing, mentoring or developing a junior team member. Excellent communication skills and a confident, articulate manner. Impeccable presentation and a naturally professional approach. Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing your cool. A proactive, hands-on attitude; you’ll be someone who sees what needs doing and gets on with it. Excellent attention to detail and a genuine pride in creating a fantastic office environment. The confidence and emotional intelligence to deal with people at every level.
