Vacancy for Level 1 Teaching Assistant Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 4, Point 3 £12,189 Hours of work: 21 hours per week Contract type: 38 weeks per year (term time only) We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and caring Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at Crosshall Junior School! You will play an important role in supporting pupils' learning, wellbeing and personal development by creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with class teachers to provide high quality support that enables pupils to achieve their full potential. The Opportunity Supervise activities for small groups or 1:1, enabling all children to reach their potential. Encourage and promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students. Establish and maintain supportive relationships. Join a dedicated, enthusiastic team, within a supportive MAT. Ensure the safety, welfare, physical and mental well-being of all pupils. The ideal candidate Holds a good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language. Understands how children learn. Is skilled at developing children’s self-esteem and motivation so that they become resilient, independent learners. Has excellent communication skills and is able to develop and sustain positive relationships with pupils.
