Job Description
Bruntcliffe Academy is seeking to recruit a committed and
enthusiastic colleague to the role of Level 2 Teaching Assistant. This is a
rewarding position that plays a vital role in supporting pupils to access
learning and achieve their full potential. Working under the guidance of the SENDCo and teaching staff, the
successful candidate will provide support for pupils, including those with
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), both within the classroom
and through targeted intervention activities. The role involves helping to
create an inclusive, safe and supportive learning environment, promoting
pupils' independence, confidence and engagement in learning, while assisting
teachers with the effective management of pupils and classroom activities. Potential applicants should have: Experience of working with young people. The ability to build positive relationships with
children and adults and work constructively as part of a team. Good numeracy and literacy skills, together with
the ability to support learning effectively. Experience of supporting pupils in an educational
setting or an equivalent qualification and/or relevant classroom experience A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and
supporting pupils to make excellent progress.
