Your new company A respected and well-established professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its team on an interim basis for an initial six-month assignment. Operating across a diverse client base, the business prides itself on delivering high-quality accounting and tax services while maintaining a collaborative and supportive working environment. This opportunity has arisen during a busy period and offers the chance to play a key role in supporting clients while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting and tax work. The successful candidate will be encouraged to spend as much time as possible working alongside the team in Inverness, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships and working closely with colleagues and clients. Your new role As an Interim Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a varied workload focused primarily on the preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax computations. You will work with a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, ensuring work is delivered accurately and in line with regulatory requirements. Alongside year-end accounts preparation and tax compliance work, you may support with general client queries and wider accounting activities as required. This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who is comfortable managing their own workload and able to hit the ground running from day one. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment and possess strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and corporation tax computations. You may be qualified (ACA, ACCA or ICAS) or qualified by experience, provided you can demonstrate a track record of delivering high-quality work across a varied client portfolio. You will be proactive, adaptable and capable of working independently while also building effective relationships with clients and colleagues. Availability at short notice would be highly advantageous.
