Job Description

Part Time Nanny – St Albans Start: January 2027 Days: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Hours: 9am–7pm Salary: £18 gross per hour Location: St Albans A lovely family in St Albans are looking for a warm, experienced and nurturing nanny to join them from January 2027. The family have two boys, a 3-year-old and a baby who will be around 10 months old when the role begins. Their eldest is a bright, loving little boy with a great imagination. He enjoys puzzles, cars and magnetic tiles. Their youngest is described as a very chilled and happy baby. The role will involve caring for both boys on two days, with one day focused on the baby while the older child is at nursery. There will be nursery drop-offs and pick-ups, trips to playgroups and activities, plenty of time outdoors and lots of age-appropriate play and activities. The family would also appreciate some help with the children's meals, batch cooking, laundry and bedding. The family are looking for someone who is warm, loving and gentle, but also confident setting boundaries. You will ideally have previous nanny experience, although they would consider someone with a strong nursery background who is mature and confident. They would love someone sociable who enjoys getting out and about with the children and who can support their development through play and activities. Good communication is really important to the family, and they are looking for someone who will build a positive and open relationship with both parents. A Spanish speaker would be a bonus but is not essential.
