Job Title: Security Designer – Enterprise Security
Location: Remote
Length: 6-month rolling contract
Rate: £350–£425 per day (DOE)
Are you a Security Designer based remotely looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Security Designer, you will be responsible for designing and documenting enterprise security architectures, assessing existing security controls, and providing technical assurance across complex IT environments, working across infrastructure, cloud, and application landscapes for large-scale enterprise clients. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Design and document enterprise security architectures and frameworks aligned with organisational policies and regulatory standards.
* Assess current security controls, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to improve overall security posture.
* Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to embed security best practices throughout the solution lifecycle.
* Support threat modelling, risk assessments, and architecture reviews for new projects and technologies.
* Develop and maintain security design blueprints and reference architectures suitable for large-scale environments.
* Provide technical assurance during solution delivery and implementation phases.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven experience in security architecture or solution design within enterprise environments.
* Strong understanding of network, cloud, and application security principles, including IAM, firewalls, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
* Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Full UK driving licence.
* CISSP, SABSA, or TOGAF certification (desirable).
