As a Teaching Assistant and Mid-Day
Assistant in our infant school, you will be responsible for creating a
stimulating and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe,
valued, and inspired to learn. You will work alongside a class teacher to plan
and deliver exciting lessons, assess children’s progress, and collaborate with
colleagues and parents to support the development of each child. As a Mid-Day Assistant, you will
supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring their welfare, safety, and good
behaviour. You will also help to promote positive social interactions and
support children with play and personal needs. You will: Like working with all children and will be their advocate Enjoy the challenge of supporting pupils with complex learning/ pastoral needs Be passionate and enthusiastic for learning Have high
expectations for all children Establish good working relationships with children, staff and parents Take

excellent communicator Be organised and efficient Be friendly and flexible Be professional and positive Understand confidentiality In addition, as a Mid-Day Assistant you will be: Supervising
children in the hall, playground, and other areas during lunch Supporting
positive play and encouraging good social skills Promoting
healthy eating and assisting pupils with meals where necessary Managing
behaviour in line with school policy and addressing minor issues promptly Administering
basic first aid and reporting incidents in accordance with school procedures Ensuring
the safety and well-being of all children throughout the lunchtime period Blackmoor Park Infants is a
