Assistant Quantity Surveyor Location: Cheltenham Sector: Construction / Facilities / Built Environment Projects Salary £35,000 plus £4,500 car allowance plus 10% bonus plus competitive benefits package T his position offers the opportunity to develop broad commercial experience across a varied programme of projects rather than being restricted to a single construction scheme. You will work closely with experienced commercial and technical professionals and gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from initial feasibility and procurement through delivery and completion . We are recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an established commercial team responsible for delivering a varied programme of building, refurbishment and asset improvement works. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant QS who wants to develop their commercial experience while working across multiple live projects. You will work alongside an experienced Commercial Manager, supporting projects from initial scoping and feasibility through procurement, delivery, cost management and final account. The portfolio includes planned asset replacement, refurbishment, fit-out and change works within operational environments, providing good exposure to both traditional quantity surveying and wider commercial project management. Key Responsibilities Your role will include: Supporting the commercial management of multiple construction, refurbishment and improvement projects. Assisting with early-stage project reviews, feasibility assessments, budgets and scope development. Preparing procurement and tender information and supporting contractor selection. Reviewing quotations and helping ensure works demonstrate appropriate commercial value. Preparing and administering appointments, orders and construction contract documentation. Supporting the management of JCT and other relevant forms of contract. Reviewing contractor applications, valuations and project expenditur
