Passive Fire Estimator (Fire Doors / Fire Stopping) Gillingham, Kent / Hybrid £60,000 £70,000 basic Full time, permanent Hybrid: 2 days a week in our Gillingham office, the rest from home, with site visits as required About us London Fire Solutions has been delivering passive fire protection since 2011. We install, survey and maintain fire doors and fire stopping systems across London, the South Coast and the Midlands, and we manufacture our own fire doors at our 30,000 sq ft facility in Gillingham, Kent. We have ambitious expansion plans through to 2030, and this role sits right at the heart of them. Why estimate for us Because we make our own doors, you're not just pricing someone else's product. You'll work directly with our factory on doorset costs and lead times, which means more control over your price and a better chance of winning. You'll also be pricing for a steady pipeline of planned, repairs and framework work with major housing providers, not chasing one-off jobs. The role We're looking for an experienced estimator from the passive fire industry to price and win work across our fire door, fire stopping and maintenance workstreams. You'll work closely with our Commercial Manager, operations and bid teams, and visit site where a job needs eyes on it. Day to day you will: Price fire door installation, replacement and remedial works, fire stopping and compartmentation packages, and planned/reactive maintenance contracts Take off from drawings, surveys and specifications, and query anything that doesn't stack up Build up rates covering labour, materials, plant, access and preliminaries Work with our factory on doorset pricing, and with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive quotations Attend site visits, pre-tender meetings and client meetings as needed Work with the bid team on tender submissions and framework opportunities Hand won work over cleanly to operations with a clear, well-documented pricing basis
