Job Description

Woodmancote School is seeking an enthusiastic, caring and organised individual to join our friendly team as a Playworker / Midday Supervisor. This rewarding role combines working within our popular Before and After School Club with supporting pupils during the school lunchtime period. The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a safe, enjoyable and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and thrive. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, has a positive outlook and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. We are looking for someone who has: • Experience of working with children. • A positive, creative and nurturing approach. • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities. • An awareness of basic health and safety requirements. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • The ability to build positive relationships with children and act as an excellent role model. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from candidates who are enthusiastic about working with children and willing to undertake relevant training. Successful applicants will need to be adaptable, able to think on their feet and confident in engaging with children throughout the school day. Hours: 5 - 25 per week, term time only. These hours will be split as follows: Mon–Fri: Breakfast club: 7.40am-8.50am Midday Supervisor: 12.15-1.15pm After school Club: 3-6pm Please note that applications are welcome from candidates who wish to be considered solely for either the Midday Supervisor (MDS) role or the Playworker role. However, successful applicants must be available to work five days per week in the role for which they are applying. Permanent Contract.
