Estimator Rail / Infrastructure Glasgow Hybrid working to be agreed £450 £500 per day Outside IR35 3-month contract 35 hours per week I m recruiting for a client looking for an experienced Estimator to support a major rail/infrastructure project. The role requires someone with strong estimating and pricing experience alongside broader commercial and contractual knowledge. The role: Prepare detailed estimates and commercial pricing for rail/infrastructure works Build project costs across labour, materials, plant and subcontractors Manage tender submissions, ITTs, PQQs and associated pricing Obtain, review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations Identify commercial and contractual risks within estimates Support cost control, change management, variations, claims and compensation events Manage subcontract procurement and contractual notifications Liaise and negotiate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams Support wider commercial management through to final account What we re looking for: Strong estimating experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering or rail Experience pricing and tendering projects Strong understanding of cost build-ups and subcontractor procurement Wider Quantity Surveying / commercial experience Experience with change management, compensation events and commercial risk Strong contractual knowledge, particularly NEC contracts Experience working on contracts/projects valued between £5m £30m Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent relevant qualification Package: £450 £500 per day Outside IR35 Initial 3-month contract 35 hours per week Glasgow Hybrid working pattern to be agreed This would suit a Senior Estimator, Estimating Manager or commercially strong Quantity Surveyor with substantial hands-on estimating and pricing experience.
