Rate: £750 per day Umbrella PAYE Location: South Lanarkshire Working Pattern: 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday Length of Contract: Until June 2027 Start: ASAP Are you an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor with a background in major infrastructure, utilities or power projects looking for your next contract opportunity within the Transmission & Distribution sector? We are looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a major energy infrastructure contractor, working within their Overhead Lines Commercial Team on a project based in South Lanarkshire. You will take a key role in the commercial management of the project, working closely with the project and commercial teams to maximise profitability, manage commercial risk and ensure effective contract and subcontract management. The role will cover financial reporting, forecasting, compensation events, variations, claims, subcontractor management and CVRs, so we are looking for someone with strong commercial experience and a good working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts. Managing the commercial performance of the project Preparing commercial reports, claims and contractual documentation Managing and monitoring project risks and maintaining risk registers Managing subcontractors and suppliers, including quotations, valuations, variations, claims and final accounts Managing compensation events, variations and contract costs Identifying delays, changes and potential commercial claims Producing financial reports, forecasts and cost/value reconciliations Working closely with Project Managers and the wider commercial team Maintaining accurate commercial and site records Supporting improvements to commercial processes and project profitability Requirements Previous experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor Strong major infrastructure or utilities experience Electrical Transmission / Overhead Lines experience would be highly advantageous Stron
