Estimator Water & Wastewater Location: Alton, Hampshire Hybrid Working Available Salary: Up to £50,000 + Package A leading specialist in water and wastewater solutions is looking to appoint an Estimator to join its growing UK team based in Alton, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or early-career Estimator looking to develop their commercial and estimating experience within the water and wastewater sector. The successful candidate will work closely with the commercial, project and technical teams, gaining exposure to the full estimating and project lifecycle. With ongoing training and development, the role is designed to provide a clear pathway towards a future Quantity Surveyor position. The Opportunity This is a strong opportunity for an early-career commercial professional who wants to build a long-term career within the water and wastewater industry. The successful candidate will receive support and development to build their estimating and commercial knowledge, with the intention of progressing into a Quantity Surveyor role as their experience and capability develop. The Role The Estimator will support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates and tenders for water and wastewater projects. Key responsibilities will include: • Preparing estimates and costings for projects and tenders. • Reviewing tender and project documentation to understand scope and requirements. • Obtaining and reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations. • Assisting with the preparation of tender submissions and commercial proposals. • Working with the technical and project teams to ensure estimates accurately reflect project requirements. • Supporting the review of costs, margins and commercial risks. • Maintaining accurate estimating records and project information. • Assisting with variations, cost reporting and other commercial activities as experience develops. • Developing an understanding of contracts, procurement and project
