Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Assistant Location: Office-Based Salary: Up to £40,000 + Career Development & Training Build Your Commercial Career with a High-End Fit-Out Specialist Our client is a well-established contractor delivering high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across the Leisure, Retail, Restaurant and Hotel sectors . Known for their exceptional finishes and attention to detail, they combine craftsmanship with commercial expertise to deliver outstanding projects nationwide. With an in-house workshop helping to reduce subcontractor costs and maintain quality standards, they continue to grow and are now looking for a Junior Commercial Professional to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop into a Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Buyer or Project Manager in the future. What You'll Be Doing You'll support the Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveying team through every stage of a project: Before the Project Starts Review tender documents, drawings and specifications Assist with pricing and costing projects Help identify commercial risks, exclusions and missing information Prepare tender queries and clarifications Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations Maintain tender registers and bid trackers Support tender adjudication meetings During the Project Track project costs and expenditure Process and check invoices Assist with variations and change management Monitor budgets and cost performance Help ensure projects remain commercially profitable Support the wider commercial team with reporting and administration In simple terms: Help price the job set up the costs track the money check invoices manage changes control costs support the Commercial Manager.
