The Role: St Mary's CofE Primary School is looking for a dedicated and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our school community. Working under the guidance of teaching and senior staff, you will implement agreed work programmes with individuals and groups, assist teachers and the SENCo in lesson planning and resource preparation, and support pupils requiring detailed or specialist assistance. We are looking for the right person to fit our caring, inclusive and high performing school community. Someone willing to work hard, be flexible and enjoy a varied role. Essential Criteria : Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant experience supporting children. Education: Evidence of a good education, especially in English and Maths. Attributes : A friendly manner with the ability to relate well to children and adults. Enthusiasm, flexibility, reliability and a desire to learn new skills. Desirable Criteria: Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants, Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education, NVQ Level 3 Childcare in Education, City and Guilds Advanced Certificate in Learning Support, HLTA status, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., Teaching, Social Work, or Nursing).
