We're currently working with an established and growing planning consultancy that is looking to appoint a Graduate Planner to join its team in Macclesfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent planning graduate to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of projects, working alongside experienced planning professionals and developing the skills needed to progress within the industry. The Role As a Graduate Planner, you'll support the planning team across a variety of projects, gaining exposure to the full planning process and developing your professional knowledge. You'll have the opportunity to work on a range of planning applications and projects while receiving support and guidance from experienced colleagues. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications. Supporting planning research and site appraisals. Reviewing local planning policies and planning documents. Undertaking research into planning history and relevant legislation. Assisting with planning statements, reports and other project documentation. Communicating with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders. Monitoring planning applications and providing updates to clients. Supporting senior planners with a variety of residential, commercial and other development projects. Keeping up to date with changes to planning policy and legislation. Developing your professional knowledge and progressing towards becoming a fully qualified planning professional.
