Job Description

GBN515 – Nanny Required for Miami, USA & Gstaad, Switzerland Start: 10 January 2027 in Gstaad, Switzerland Duration: Temporary role from 10 January–20 March 2027 Children: Girl aged 6, boy aged 4, girl aged 2 Salary: £1,300+ net per week Location: Gstaad, Switzerland, with the family primarily based in Miami, USA A lovely Swiss/American family, primarily based in Miami, are seeking an experienced, career nanny for a temporary placement in Gstaad from 10 January 2027. They are looking for a fluent English and French-speaking nanny who is warm, professional, dynamic and proactive, with a genuine interest in children's development. Ideally, they would love to find a US-based candidate who can join them in Miami in late December, travel with the family to Switzerland in January and continue with them on a long-term basis in the USA following the Swiss placement. If this is not possible, they may appoint two separate candidates. The children are bright, happy and engaging. The 6-year-old girl is curious and easy-going and enjoys skiing, arts and crafts and trying new activities. Her 4-year-old brother is intelligent, funny and loves Lego, marble runs and sports, while the 2-year-old enjoys imaginative play, dressing up and creative activities. All three children enjoy swimming. The nanny will have both sole and shared charge and should be confident working independently and taking initiative. Duties include helping the children get ready for school, breakfast and tidying up, school runs, planning creative and educational activities, and caring for the children after school. Typical hours are 6:30am–8:30am and 12pm–8pm, Monday to Saturday, up to 10 hours per day. The youngest attends school from 8:30am–12pm and the older two from 8:30am–4pm. The family have a chef, although the nanny should be happy to prepare simple, healthy meals for the children when required. The family are warm and close-knit, with very involved grandparents living nearby, so the successful nanny should be comfortable working alongside extended family. Their Gstaad home is next to the ski slopes and train station, approximately 15 minutes from the centre. A keen skier or someone genuinely enthusiastic about mountain life would be ideal, and there may also be some European travel and long weekends while in Switzerland. Live-in accommodation is provided in Switzerland. If continuing with the family in Miami, live-out accommodation will be provided until August 2027, when the role will become live-in once the nanny accommodation is ready. The family also have a small dog. Requirements - Experienced, professional career nanny - Fluent in English and French - Legal right to live and work in the USA and Europe - Confident and safe driver with a clean driving licence - Dynamic, proactive and able to work independently - Calm, professional and emotionally intelligent - Passionate about children's development and education - Comfortable with sole and shared charge - Happy to prepare simple
