Estates and Facilities Officer Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf / Caerphilly area Contract: Fixed-term Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm Pay: 27,780 to 29,844 per annum equivalent Start: Immediate Interviews: ASAP Positions: 2 initially, with potential for more We are recruiting for 2 Estates Officers to join a busy FE college in the Rhondda Cynon Taf on a fixed-term basis, with an immediate start. This is a hands-on, varied and operational role and would suit someone with previous experience in estates, facilities, maintenance, security, caretaking or a trade-related environment. The role: Carrying out general estates, facilities and maintenance duties Supporting the day-to-day operation and upkeep of the college Ensuring the site is safe, secure and well maintained Responding to general maintenance and facilities requirements Working as part of a busy estates team Travelling between college campuses across the Rhondda and Caerphilly areas when required The role can be physically demanding About you: Previous experience in estates, facilities, maintenance, security, caretaking or a similar practical role is essential Practical, reliable and hands-on approach Comfortable working in a busy environment Able to carry out physically demanding duties where required Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle Willing and able to travel between sites across the Rhondda and Caerphilly areas Previous education experience is not essential Must be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS and register it on the Update Service Must be able to provide 2 professional references An Enhanced DBS already in place and registered on the Update Service would be advantageous Important: This is an urgent requirement , so candidates must be: Available to interview ASAP Available to start immediately following a successful interview and onboarding Able to commit to the required hours and travel between sites
