Job Description
The
Stephen Longfellow Academy is seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly
motivated colleague to the role of General Teacher with Assistant SENDCo
responsibility. This is a key position within the Academy, combining
high-quality classroom teaching with leadership responsibilities that support
our commitment to inclusive education. The successful candidate will inspire
and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4, enabling them to achieve
their full potential, while working alongside the SENDCo to coordinate and
enhance provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
They will play a pivotal role in promoting high standards of achievement,
supporting staff, students and families, and ensuring that all learners receive
the support they need to thrive academically, socially and personally. Potential
applicants: A colleague
with a successful record of teaching with strong examination results at one or
more of KS3 & KS4 (applicants who have already gained Qualified Teacher
Status). Applicants should also have: A detailed
knowledge of current developments in education including the effective use of
the Pupil Premium. The ability to put vision into practice.
