Shipping & Logistics Coordinator Location: Luton Working Pattern: Fully office-based Contract: Temporary - With opportunity to go permanent Start Date: Immediate / ASAP Hours: 8:30am - 5pm Rate : £15 per hour We are currently looking for a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Luton. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced shipping or logistics professional to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment and play a key role in ensuring customer orders are shipped accurately and on time. Please note: this is a fully office-based position in Luton, with no working from home option. The Role As Shipping & Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating customer shipments, working closely with customers, freight forwarders, Planning, Operations and internal support teams to ensure the smooth and timely movement of goods. Key Responsibilities Coordinate customer shipments, including EXW collections . Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding shipping arrangements. Liaise with freight forwarders and obtain competitive freight quotations. Work closely with Planning and Operations to ensure customer orders are shipped on time. Prepare shipping and export documentation, including: Certificates of Origin ATRs Commercial invoices Certificates of Conformance Test certificates Support import/export and customs documentation, including SAD documentation . Process customer shipments through relevant shipping portals. Liaise with the Credit team regarding Letters of Credit . Participate in Health & Safety and continuous improvement activities. Ensure shipping activities are completed accurately and in line with company procedures and customer requirements. About You We are looking for a hands-on, organised and customer-focused individual who is comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment. You will ideally have: Previous experience in shipping, logistics, exports or a similar role . Good knowledge of EXW and international shipping processes . Experience working with freight forwarders and preparing export documentation. Strong communication and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel . Previous SAP experience would be desirable, although full SAP training can be provided . What We're Looking For The successful candidate will be someone who can hit the ground running, communicate confidently with customers and internal teams, and ensure shipments are coordinated efficiently and accurately.
