We're recruiting for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead a busy hospitality and catering operation in the heart of Central London's university quarter , serving a vibrant community of students, academics, staff and visitors. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys leading from the front, working closely with a small team, building relationships with people, and delivering exceptional food and service across retail catering, hospitality and events. The Role You'll take full ownership of the kitchen operation, ensuring consistently high standards while creating a positive and supportive team culture. Key responsibilities include: Leading, motivating and developing a small kitchen team. Delivering fresh, high-quality food across daily service and hospitality events. Managing stock control, ordering and supplier relationships. Monitoring food costs and minimising waste. Coordinating hospitality and catering requests. Managing enquiries and bookings received via email. Using online ordering and catering management systems. Maintaining excellent food safety and compliance standards. Building strong relationships with colleagues, customers and stakeholders. About You Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef. A genuine people person with a positive and approachable management style. Hands-on and happy to support service when required. Experience leading and developing small teams. Strong organisational and communication skills. Comfortable using technology, online ordering platforms and digital systems. Confident managing catering requests and administrative tasks. Commercially aware with strong stock and food cost control experience. Passionate about food, hospitality and delivering an excellent customer experience.
