Manufacturing Technician Location: Birmingham Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00am - 3:30pm Pay Rate: £13.53 per hour Contract: 6-Month Temporary Assignment Manufacturing Technician Opportunity We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician to join a busy manufacturing team in Birmingham on a 6-month assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain experience within a regulated production environment, supporting the manufacture of high-quality products used across the healthcare and diagnostics sector. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Follow daily production plans and complete assigned tasks. Ensure materials and inventory are available for manufacturing activities. Carry out routine checks and activities on equipment and work areas. Complete production documentation and record data accurately. Perform process and quality checks in line with company procedures. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support continuous improvement activities. Assist with identifying and resolving basic production issues. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Candidate Requirements GCSEs or equivalent. Previous experience within manufacturing, production, warehouse, laboratory, or a similar environment is desirable. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable following written procedures and instructions. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Good communication and record-keeping skills. Basic numerical skills and understanding of measurements. Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team. Working Environment This role is based within a manufacturing environment and may involve: Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Handling materials and chemical solutions safely. Following strict health, safety, and quality procedures. Lifting and moving items up to 20kg when required. Standing for extended periods during the working day. Occasional overtime, including weekends, to support business requirements. What's on Offer? £13.53 per hour. Monday to Friday working pattern. Early finish every day at 3:30pm.
