About the course Across the year, students work through practical, project-based learning across a wide range of craft and design disciplines, including: Ceramics Textiles and fashion Drawing Woodwork and 3D design Graphics Digital skills Alongside their UAL qualification, students also study English and maths, building the skills and confidence they need for their next steps. We’re proud of where our learners go. Students from this course have progressed to further study and on to great things, including university. About the role As Course Leader, you’ll have a great deal of autonomy in how the course is designed and delivered. You’ll plan and teach engaging, hands-on projects, track and celebrate progress, and work closely with LSAs to make sure every learner is supported to succeed. You won’t be doing it alone. You’ll be backed by a fantastic curriculum team and work alongside other lecturers delivering the same specification, so there’s plenty of opportunity to share ideas, resources and good practice. About you We’d love to hear from you if you: Have a genuine passion for art and design, and practical skills across craft and design disciplines Enjoy working with young people with SEND and understand how to adapt teaching so everyone can take part and thrive Are patient, encouraging and creative in your approach, and see potential in every learner Can work collaboratively with LSAs, colleagues and support services Are organised and confident taking the lead on a course Have experience of teaching in FE or a similar setting, ideally with UAL experience.
