The role involves attending breakdowns and recovery jobs, safely loading and transporting vehicles, and providing a professional service to customers at the roadside. The Role Your duties will include: Attending vehicle breakdowns and recovery jobs Safely loading, securing and transporting vehicles Carrying out vehicle recoveries in a safe and professional manner Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects Keeping recovery vehicles and equipment clean and serviceable Completing relevant job paperwork and records accurately Communicating professionally with customers, control staff and other road users Following company procedures and all relevant health and safety requirements Requirements Applicants should have: A valid Category C / Class 2 HGV licence A valid Driver CPC A valid Digital Tachograph Card A good driving record Good communication and customer service skills The ability to work independently and use good judgement at the roadside A reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach Proven HGV Recovery history and references Previous vehicle recovery, roadside assistance or transporter experience is essential What We Offer Full-time, permanent employment Competitive rates of pay Training and support Modern recovery equipment Varied work with no two days exactly the same Opportunity to join an established and professional recovery operation The position is based in Blackpool, so applicants should live within a reasonable travelling distance or be able to reliably commute to the depot.
