Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Level 3 Weeting Church of England Primary School, part of Grace Schools At Weeting Church of England Primary School we are committed to creating the foundations to build successful futures. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and play a key role in ensuring high quality teaching and learning for all pupils across the school. Find out more about our school by visiting: https://wps.graceschools.org.uk/ Key responsibilities: Provide cover for teaching and learning of classes in all year groups Under the direction of the Class Teacher, supervise and support children in following a programme or study and/or intervention programme. Provide specialist support to children with SEND or where English is not their first language. Take responsibility for delivering learning activities with individual pupils and small groups. Establish and maintain supportive relationships with individual pupils, small groups and parents/carers to ensure they understand and can achieve the tasks. Encourage and promote inclusion in every classroom, ensuring that all pupils can access the learning tasks and activities being delivered. Pay, Hours and Contract: Point 8 - £27,709 FTE Approximately £8,766 pro rata 14 hours per week, 38 weeks per year Tuesday 1.15pm - 3.15pm, Wednesay 8.40am - 3.15pm, Thursday 8.40am - 3.15pm Permanent contract Qualifications and skills: A minimum qualification of GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (previously Grade C) or above, or an equivalent qualification NVQ Level 2/3 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent Experience of assisting teachers in delivering the curriculum and supporting learning in a school setting, including covering lessons when required Principles and practices of high quality teaching and learning Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, parents/carers and members of the community High levels of adaptability and flexibility Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people About Grace Schools It is an exciting time to join us as we move into the next era of the Trust as The Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust (DEMAT) becomes Grace Schools.
