Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a Supervisory Assistant Level 1 to ensure the safety and welfare of pupils on the school site during the mid-day break at our Early Years site. Duties of the role include: Supervision of pupils taking a school meal as well as other pupils on the school site during the mid-day break. Maintaining discipline throughout the lunchtimes break in accordance with guidance given by the Head Teacher and to report back accordingly. Recording incidents using the MIS and behaviour management procedures, such as incident book or accident book, in order to fulfil legal obligations. The supervision of pupils returning to the premises at the end of the mid-day break. This post is part time working Monday to Friday 11am - 1.30pm, and is term time only plus 3 training days. We are looking for a colleague who has: Experience working in a similar role in a school setting. Ability to develop positive relationships with children and work with them to promote high standards of behaviour and cooperation. NVQ level 1 or equivalent in English and Maths or experience in relevant discipline/job role. Ability to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
