Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Opportunities Permanent Role Required as soon as possible 30 hours per week Term Time only, plus 1 week (39 weeks) JM Grade 4 Point 4 £26,016 pro-rata to contract (actual Salary £18,147) We are looking for individuals who are interested in special educational needs and are looking to build knowledge and understanding whilst in employment. We are able to offer a unique experience to earn whilst you learn and gain recognised qualifications in special educational needs. This post would suit a candidate who is starting their career, looking to change career, or already working with children and looking to gain new qualifications. Successful candidates would complete a bespoke induction training programme to allow them to gain a foundation of knowledge on working in a school, supporting students with SEND, and the role of the Teaching Assistant. They would then spend up to 27 hours per week developing their skills in the classroom, and working with students with SEND, whilst receiving advice and support from an experienced teacher. They would also receive regular mentoring and coaching from experienced practitioners, professional studies sessions delivered by qualified leaders and SENDCos, and online training. We are able to offer a range of apprenticeships through the Gloucestershire College, which are delivered at JMHS, leading to a recognised accredited qualification. As an employer we would cover the full £7000 cost of your apprenticeship. Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeships can progress to a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant Fast Track, or Postgraduate Teacher Apprenticeship (for candidates holding a suitable degree). This provides an ideal training pathway for students looking to work as a cover supervisor, coach, tutor, or teacher. We welcome visits from prospective applicants.
