Stockroom Operative

Location: Witham, Essex Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £28,027 to £28,882 p.a Shift Pattern: Weekly rotation between 6am-1pm and 1pm-8pm. Please note, due to the shift pattern, unless you live in Witham, you must be a car driver as public transport does not align with the shift patterns for this role. What You'll Be Doing: Receiving and moving deliveries (chemicals, consumables) into the main stores Transferring samples, glassware, and materials between laboratories Handling waste management processes, including weighing, labelling, and storage Processing stock movements (in/out) and keeping accurate stock records Carrying out regular stock checks Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries, including forklift use (training provided) Supporting wider logistics activities, including use of the company van What We're Looking For: A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently Good organisational and time management skills Basic IT and numeracy skills A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle Physically fit and flexible with working hours, including occasional weekends A forklift licence is desirable but not essential - training is available Benefits Company pension with 5% employer contribution (3.5% employee contribution via salary sacrifice) 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Life assurance Group income protection Employee Assistance Programme Cycle to Work scheme PR1
