The Role As part of the Finance Department, you will provide essential sales ledger support, ensuring customer accounts are accurately maintained and queries are handled efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities Processing and maintaining sales ledger transactions Banking cash and cheque receipts Posting debit and credit card payments Allocating and posting BACS receipts Raising customer credit notes Scanning and maintaining supporting documentation Managing customer account queries via telephone and email Processing customer card payments Supporting internal colleagues with account and reporting queries Processing credits and recharges Assisting colleagues across the finance function during busy periods and holiday cover Maintaining accurate records and following company procedures About You Previous experience in Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Finance Assistant or Credit Control roles Strong numerical and data-entry accuracy Excellent attention to detail Confident communication skills with both customers and internal stakeholders Good organisational and time-management skills Proficient IT skills with experience of finance systems and Microsoft Office A proactive and dependable team player What's on Offer Immediate start available Friendly and supportive finance team Well-established and financially secure employer Full-time temporary assignment Convenient Wakefield location Opportunity to make an immediate impact within a busy accounts function If you're an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk seeking your next temporary opportunity and enjoy working in a professional, team-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.
