Location: Uxbridge, West London Salary: £75,000 £85,000 + package Type: Permanent Sector: Main Contracting / Construction Senior Quantity Surveyor Main Contractor Our client is an established and growing main contractor delivering a diverse range of high-quality construction projects across London and the Home Counties. With a strong pipeline of new projects and continued growth across the business, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a hands-on opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who is comfortable taking ownership of projects from pre-construction through to final account and enjoys working closely with clients, subcontractors and project teams. The business delivers a mixture of new-build, refurbishment, residential, commercial, education, leisure and specialist projects , providing plenty of variety across the role. The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of allocated projects, working closely with the Commercial Director, Contracts Managers and wider project teams. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from pre-construction through to completion Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans Cost control and commercial reporting Preparing monthly valuations and applications for payment Managing variations, compensation events and change control Preparing and reviewing CVRs Managing project forecasting and cash flow Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Reviewing subcontractor packages and negotiating commercial terms Managing subcontractor accounts Preparing and agreeing final accounts Identifying commercial risks and opportunities Maintaining accurate project cost records Supporting tender and pre-construction activities Working closely with the site and project management teams Buildin
