Quantity Surveyor - New Build apartment complexes Rochester Permanent About MCR MCR Property Group is a leading independent real estate investment and development company, we have a strong UK presence with offices in key cities like London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow. Our primary focus lies in developing new residential and industrial projects and managing a diverse portfolio, which includes around 5,000 residential plots and commercial/industrial assets exceeding £2 billion in value. We are entering an exciting phase of growth and are looking for motivated, personable, and self-driven individuals who have a genuine passion for real estate. The project involves the pre-construction and construction phases of 3 new build apartment blocks. The role will support the commercial management of a contractor-led residential project, with responsibilities spanning cost, procurement, subcontractor and commercial controls. Role summary The Quantity Surveyor will contribute to the financial and commercial management of the project from a contractor's perspective. The role requires practical experience across residential new build, residential design and interior projects, together with the ability to monitor costs, manage change and provide accurate commercial information. The successful candidate will work in a structured, detail-focused way and communicate clearly with project teams, subcontractors and other commercial stakeholders. Key experience required Residential apartment and high-rise new build experience, with an understanding of the cost and delivery considerations involved in finishing apartment blocks. Interior projects, covering the commercial management of finishes, trades, materials and associated subcontract packages. Qualifications and experience Minimum qualification: HND in Quantity Surveying. Minimum professional experience: 5+ years working with a contractor.
